PRC.55..1971 Corvette ZR2/LS6 Convertible with two tops 425 hp with M-22 heavy duty 4 speed transmission. Numbers matching original motor. Nine owner car with 8,700 actual miles. Original and unrestored and in excellent condition as evidenced by this car's recent Regional NCRS Top Flight in September 2010 (lost 100 out of 4500 points) and The Triple Diamond award in November 2010 where it was invited for display at the 2010 MCACN show to represent ultra-rare and utlra-low mile original Corvettes. Brandshatch Green paint with Black interior and Black soft top. The ZR2 option included F41 special heavy duty suspension, J50/J56 heavy duty power brakes, M22 heavy duty four speed transmission, and heavy duty radiator which added $1,747.00 to the price. Only twelve ZR2 Corvettes were ever produced with only two convertibles accounted for. The ZR2 option could not be ordered with power windows, rear window defroster, air conditioning, power steering, P02 hubcaps, alarm system, or a radio!! The ZR2 option was for bad boys who wanted to race! This particular Corvette did come with an auxiliary hardtop, special 4:11 posi, special 425 hp engine package and Black leather interior. This Corvette has been invited to the Bloomington Gold Special Collection and has been Bloomington Gold certified and recently received a NCRS Regional Top Flight. It also won the McGuire's award at the Palo Alto Concours in 2003 and the MCACN Triple Diamond award in November 2010. This Corvette is one of a few to receive the honor of being inducted in the Bloomington Gold Corvette Hall of Fame. It has also been editorialized in both newsstand specialty publications and hardback coffee table books. Documentation consists of complete unbroken owner history, a letter from Zora Arkus-Duntov, the warranty pamphlet/P.O.P., the tank sticker, the GMAC retail installment contract, the vehicle purchase order, the car shipper, GM merchandising memo, application for title, the original owners Corvette owner card/letter, receipts for payment, canceled checks, most registrations, the owners manual packet, and three 3-ring binders. This amazing Corvette is well-known having been owned by the who's who of the collector car hobby and now resides in our Personal Reserve Collection.
